Here are the buyer preferences sellers should know about in our market.

Welcome to our very first blog post. Today we’re sharing three preferences buyers have that sellers should know about in the current market. Since the beginning of the pandemic, buyers’ mindsets have shifted, but as the world is opening up again, these three home preferences are still crucial to them:

“Having space to set up an office is vital.”

1. Storage. Storage has always been essential to buyers, but now even more so. Since we’re spending so much more time at home, we’ve accumulated more possessions, so buyers are looking for storage. Whenever a seller can highlight their storage spaces such as customized closets, extra closets, living room built-in cabinets, etc., it will attract buyers.

2. Space to work from home. Many more people are working from home and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, so having space to set up an office is vital. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a separate room-it can be a corner of the living room, part of a bedroom if it’s large enough, or a den area. Buyers are constantly looking for work-from-home space.

3. Outdoor space. Not everyone can offer a private balcony or deck, but some sort of outdoor space goes a long way. Even a common outdoor area or park nearby is valuable. Buyers want a space where they can get outdoors and not stay cooped up inside.
